
Chemical formula: Na2HPO4·12H2O
Property: Colorless monoclinic crystal or white powder. Relative density 1.52, melting point 34.6℃, refractive rate 1.432 (20℃). Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkali, PH value of 1% aqueous solution is 8.8-9.2; insoluble in alcohol. Weathering in the air. Lose all the water of crystallization and turn to sodium pyrophosphate anhydrous if heated to 250℃.

Usage: Used as fire-proofing agent for fabric, wood and paper, as glaze, welding flux and used in electroplating, etc.
Properation: Prepared by sodium carbonate and phosphoric acid.
Remarks: Weathering in the air, lose water of crystallization and turn to anhydrous substance at 100℃. Decompose to sodium pyrophosphate anhydrous at 250℃.
Transportation and storage: Avoid rain and sunlight during the transporation. Please keep in dry and ventilated place and equipped with under layer to prevent damp.
