White particle or powder, apparent density 0.35-0.90g/cm3, melting point 622℃. Easily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkali. Hydrolyze to orthophosphate in water, complexing with calcium, magnesium, iron and other metal ions and generating soluble complex. As an inorganic surfactant, it has certain properties of organic surfactants.
Used as additive in detergent synthesis, ceramics production, soap synergist. Has strong emulsifying property to lubricant and fat, to adjust the PH value of buffer liquid soap, water softener for industrial water, pretanning agent for leather production, in dyeing additive, paint, kaolin, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate and other industries as dispersant for the preparation of suspension, as dispersant in drilling fluid, as anti-oil agent in paper-making industry.
Used as detergent, pharmaceutical and toothpaste stabilizer, water softener, boiler antiscaling agent, metal ion chelant, and also used in electroplating, electrolysis, plant fiber blenching, etc.
